Repeater released today

Repeater, a new anthology of Spiro‘s music is released today.

Repeater

The album features tracks especially selected by the band from all four of our Real World albums Pole Star (1997), Lightbox (2009), Kaleidophonica (2012) and Welcome Joy And Welcome Sorrow (2015).

Added to which it’s our first ever release on vinyl!

As well as the LP version, Repeater is also available digitally.

UK tour starts tomorrow

Our UK tour begins tomorrow (24 September 2016). We’ll be performing at the following venues:

24 September – The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury
26 September – Cambridge Junction, Cambridge
29 September – Yellow Arch Studio, Sheffield
26 November – South Street Arts Centre, Reading
4 December – St. George’s, Bristol

We’re delighted to announce that on 21st October Real World will be releasing a Spiro compilation album, Repeater. It will be available on vinyl only, and features an excellent selection of tracks from all four of our albums. And it comes in a gorgeous cover too. You can pre-order a copy here.

Welcome Joy Nominated for Songlines Award

We’re excited to learn that our latest album Welcome Joy and Welcome Sorrow has been nominated in the 2016 Songlines Music Awards, along with Sam Lee & Friends, Tcha Limberger’s Budapest Gypsy Orchestra and Monsieur Doumani. The winners will be announced in the June issue of Songlines, out on May 6th.
